Fantastic moments

Literature- the art of learning life is simply invincible.Unlike other fields, it is not just a matter of reading and scoring marks.Receiving degree as M.A lit or M.phil doesnt make any sense. You can always observe a snse of unique qualities among literature students.I claim it proudly and i have special evidences to prove about their special qualities. They cannot be labelled as strange or odd. They are unique in the sense they knew to enjoy and lead a meaningful life.A sense of everlasting happiness and artistic nature surges their mind.Their approach to things vary and easily they can cull out and solve the problems. The art of teaching lit requires more expressions and feelings more than the language. At places even the silences can overtake the power of words.Enjoying literature depends upon both the individual's taste and the teacher who introduces this field to the students. The very word literature in itself has a charm over us.It spellbounds. Literature is not a witch but an angel which shows a new world. It transports us to the new world. One can escape from the torments and tortures of this global world through literature.Language doesnt matter.Language of any literature nakes this life tasteful.I do believe in the concept of mukthi and moksha.I dont know whether the almighty will bless me with this mukthi but literature has already blessed me with that.Life would have been burden if not for the literature which has offered me the most fantastic moments.

READING THE TEXT

If once a text is labelled under any category or genre, people tend to read the book only with the same approach for quite a long duration of time. Any other kind of approach to that text is considered as an act of desanctifying that particular work. Why such narrow point of view exist among people? For instance, detective fictions are easily dismissed as trivial. In the modern world the distinction between high culture and popular culture is dissolving in academic saucepans, but still an author is judged whether he belong to the literary pantheon or restricted to the mystery of detective fiction or pulps. For an instance, why not William Faulkner's Absalom,Absalom! (labelled as classical work) be read as a detective fiction? Reading a text from different perspective will not degrade the text by any means instead it shows the richness of classic and its innate flexibility which allows for a different reading. As Roland Barthes stated, the author is one who authorizes the text.In that way, readers play the role of an author. So, they have the complete independence to approach a text with whatever mode they like. Reading the text from a different perspective and trying to place the text in a different framework is highly an interesting process which demands both a creative mind and knowledge.
